Has anybody had any experiance of Creation Consumer Finance and their debt collection tactics.
They are about to default my account, and i just wanted to know what to expect next. Do they tend to go for a ccj or pass it on to an external debt collection agenct?

Usually the latter. Can you not afford to repay?0

Creditors tend to be much of a muchness actually. Whether or not you get taken to court depends on things like if it's likely to be financially profitable to do so and if the judgment is likely to be in thier favour. If you tell us the amount you've been defaulted for and any repayment arrangement you have made, or are able to make (even if being realistic it's only £2 a month) then we have a fair chance of predicting what next.I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)
As of the last count I have cleared [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt.

I have only been paying token payments for over a year since i became redundant. I dont mind being defaulted as i have other defaults, but they are threatening court action. I owe them £1980 and have been paying £1/month for the last few months and £5/month for ten months before that.0

Assuming your income is now soley from benefits this is a totally realistic repayment and they wouldn't have a leg to stand on in court. Being a jaded old bag such as I am I would respond to the next court threat (if one comes) with
"Dear Sir/Madam/Other,
You would like to take me to court? Ooh yes please, if you could hurry up that'd be lovely. The CCJ can then be awarded (provided I don't defend on anything technical and clever of course, I might, I might not, wait and see) and then the repayment can be set at the £1 a month my SOA shows I can afford. The sooner this happens the sooner I can spend my mornings eating toast and reading the situations vacant in a more relaxed and thorough fashion, rather than having to open your silly letters and be all irritable for the rest of the day which leads to not get any CV's sent out.
Much Love.
Hannah Hannahson xx".
But put that down to my serious lack of patience with regard to empty threats. In case you hadn't already gathered, the absolute worst that could happen is a court would rule you had to pay what you are already paying and then if you do get a job, they have seriously messed up. So I find it quite unlikely they will go for a court order, the judge wouldn't be at all impressed with them (which means they'd end up paying the costs, not you). If they took you to court and you didn't defend... well that could be a lot less pretty, but you will defend (if they listed it for a court miles away you can get it moved to your local one btw).
