Hi I don't know if this is the right place to post but we are looking for a good roofer who has reasonable prices. We live near Romford in Essex.
The problem as best as I can describe is the dividing wall between mine and my neighbours has sprung a leak when we have a heavy down pour it leaks into my daughters room coming down from our loft. Hubby says it needs lead flashing putting up? The first quote we had said along the same lines that we could try that first for £290. otherwise if that does not work then we need additional work done costing over £1000. He seemed a nice man who knew what he was talking about.
Second quote was a no straightaway. Basically told me all we needed was cement near the chimney and said it would cost £300.00 I said I was having more quotes and told him of the earlier quote I had, he said bloke was talking rubbish did not need any flashing and he would do the job his way for £250. if I shook on it then and there. I said no.
We got these details from the Yellow pages under approved roofers. Anyone out there had roofing work done lately and could recommend a good approved roofer. Thanks
