Anyone 'froogling' not shopping/saving cash etc?

Just read an interesting article in Eve mag (jan issue) about Judith Levine a US journalist who set herself the challenge to give up shopping for a year.
She did so apart from vital items she couldn't make/barter/grow and saved $8,000 dollars!
She then wrote 'Not buying it, my year without shopping' Judith Levine Free Press.
It's the most interesting piece i've read in a ladies mag for ages. (p84)
It mentions freecycle to give away/collect things and also

thanks just ordered it online have you read 'the new spend less revolution' by Rebecca Ash Harriman House? It's new so may not yet be in library.0 -
