Nice to know we are getting shafted on this side of the pond. Even worse for me - I'm being simultaneously penetrated twice.

how much money do you get sho?Martin has asked me to tell you I'm about to cut the cheese, pull my finger.0
-
Mine's correct. It says around $60k for under 10 years experience, which equates to £36k, I am just under this and entry level.0
-
Emigrate then. Remember to post how much greener the grass is......0
-
Emigrate I will. And the grass isn't the only thing that will be greener on that side.
I get paid just shy of £24K to be the Systems Engineer of a pretty big company. I'm about £10K short of what I do for these jokers.
I know it's a common misconception to think you do more than the norm but I KNOW I do more. We have about 50+ sites around the world and I've took my region from zero to hero. I can confidantally say that I have the strictest and best security performance baseline for all systems in our region than any other office in the world. This was never the case before I came onboard and I made this happen under a period of 2 years.
The academic certs I have acquired since being here further enhance my profile. I am current and firing on all cylinders.
Funnily. my manager agrees with everything but has his hands tied as increases require approval several steps above him - Director, Exec Dir, Vice President, President.
I know I will never get what I am worth whilst being here so I will have to move onwards or upwards....0 -
You could of course make yourself feel better and look up Indian IT salaries.
Seriously mate, this is a US survey - how relevant do you honestly think it is to those of us in Blighty? Picking out just one of a multitude of differences (geographic location being perhaps the most obvious) we don't have to pay a vast % of our salaries to a private healthcare provider...we have the NHS
You may well be underpaid - but I would focus on the UK market to determine this, rather than looking up a similar role in Arkansas and having a moan!Go round the green binbags. Turn right at the mouldy George Elliot, forward, forward, and turn left....at the dead badger0 -
PPI Reclaimed £15,500 - between 2008 & 2014
Mortgage Free - 15th July 2009
Debt Free - 14th Jan 2011
It's possible.0 -

Wow, we employ our graduate system engineers on more than that. Most of ours have been here a few years so their salaries should be mid 30k, maybe more.
You are being rather underpaid
Just checked how much 'technical architects' (for that is what i am) get paid in London financial jobs. I now feel a bit underpaid!! £70-£100k
I think i might be in the wrong bit of IT.0 -
Go contracting and emigrate to London ;o)))sho_me_da_money wrote: »Emigrate I will. And the grass isn't the only thing that will be greener on that side.
