Question on BT's

in Credit cards
Hi there
Yesterday I tried to cancel a Virgin credit card as they had begun charging me interest (I had already paid off the balance in full). Instead they offered me 0% on BT for 9 months and so I decided to transfer £1200 from my Barclaycard as they will start charging me this month.
The total balance on this card is about £3K - make up of £1000 purchases and the remainder a BT...some of which is originally from the Virgin card.
My question is, which of these balance will they subtract the transfer from...the purchases or the BT?
Thanks for any help

The balance with the highest interest rate.My question is, which of these balance will they subtract the transfer from...the purchases or the BT?
Take a look at your T&Cs, and any notice of variation received in the last 5 months or so (the 'rules' changed at the start of the year).0 -
Sorry just to clarify then..this would be the purchases balance, as it is now growing interest of 15.9%? (the BT balance will remain at 0% until April next year)
Thanks
