    Mhambi your a muppet.

you dont need to be on the electoral role to get married. Its a stupid suggestion to say dont get married three months before the event with 65% paid off and as I have previously said a pointless comment to add.

my previous depts were over ten years ago and yes i did dodge them and i got away with them !!!!!.

since then i have been accepted for store cards & credit cards so my credit is ok. I think i am currently being turned down because i missed a mortage payment because of an admin error and then susbsequent applications has made my credit poor.

what i am planning is saving what i can and then after three months trying again.

i have less dept then some one who buys a car for instance. Its all relavtive i dont have the money now but i will have over the next few years.

i just need about 3k spread over two years. works out to about £100 per month !!!! all i was just after a company that maybe has a higher rate apr that i might get accepted with..

Joey, you need to take a step back & think carefully about your financial situation & how you live your life.

  • I read your post - have you tried your local Credit Union? Not sure if they'd loan out £5k on a 1st loan but they are very helpful.

    Good luck

It's good that you've decided to borrow £3k rather than £5k but you need to look at your figures again. 3000 divded by 24 = 125 and that's without any interest.

    Good for you.

First you complaining and now you start being insulting.

The sooner you wake up the better. No one with a single braincell left will loan you money. Even the 'sharks' will avoid you as they know it would only get them in to trouble and you in to hospital.

Wait a bit longer with your wedding and start saving. That's the best you can do as you seem to earn enough money. But who do I tell this to? You know it all that's why you cry for help.

I only pity your partner as you clearly are not responsible for yourself. So you brag that you got away with it, I would call THAT fraud and for that this is the wrong forum and your response shows me that you will try and get away with it again and again. The best that can be happen to you is that you can not get any money, the worst is that you end up with the wrong person and I do NOT wish that to ANYONE, including you.
Getting there! Thanks to you guys

The dept i have at the moment is manageable debt and once the weeding is over then these become my primary concern

Let me check, you want to borrow £5k to do some gardening, but you have a history of not paying back money you borrowed and recently your mortgage payment was late also.

I would imagine your credit file is not a pretty sight and anybody with access to it will be running for the hills at your application for funds for your ambitious garden plans.

Did you ask why your bank turned you down? Perhaps your current debt to income ratio is too high. If you can only afford £100 per month for a loan it sounds like you may be overstretched already. Once you've been turned down by your bank then it becomes mush harder to borrow from any reputable company. You say you're not bothered about the interest rate when, IMO, this is one of the most important things to consider when applying for a loan. If you find a loan, do you really want to be paying back £6K+ for a £3K loan?

Not if you don't bother repaying it :rotfl::rotfl:

As much as this guy seems like a loan dodger, I have to just stand up a little for people who have bad debt from their past.
I had plenty of bad debt and even a CCJ. I have learned from my mistakes and now I don't miss any payments and pay well over the minimum each month. My credit is improving slowly but surely.
However, as he says his debts are now 10 years old, surely that wouldn't matter?

The only reason I could see the banks declining you is because of the way you are handling your current account. Also, your joint salaries don't mean squat if you have bad debt.

So in conclusion - Everyone makes mistakes with their debts, but they often learn from them
    - Although those debts are long gone, if you are handling your current affairs correctly then a credit report it is my friend! You need to know what's going on now before it gets worse
    - It was a bit silly asking the question on here when a quick google search or loan comparison site could have given you the answer
