Pasta- dried or fresh- what is the proper way?

    I love pasta and italian food is my favourite,ive eaten tortellini about twice a week for as long as i can remember,with tomatoes,capers ,tuna,onions,garlic.etc etc loads of parmesan ,splash of balsamic and loads of black pepper:D

    I think Italians are like the Brazilians of Europe; the beautiful and tanned.

    Plus they do have the best food in the world.

    They do and the best atmosphere,decor and music.

    the chefs are a bit of a pain to work with.very passionate though and will do anything for you after a shift. i love sitting down with all the staff with a glass of wine and some pasta at the end of service:D

    Pasta 2 x week
    anything else the other times

    Oh and I can easily kill for fresh Steak and Ale pie! :drool::drool::drool:

    Well, any freshly made foodstuff is of course preferable, generally speaking. But whereas Italian housewives used to make fresh pasta every time it was on the home menu, nowadays it would be impractical due to the hectic workaholic lifestyle to be seen everywhere...:o

    Its a shame because stopping and cooking your self something nice can be theraputic.

    My local does a wicked steak and speckled hen (beer!) pie but you know you just shouldnt :naughty::D

    Then its dry pasta bout 3 times a week if im at home - sorry Q
