Abbey National Mortgage Plan / Friends Provident endowment complaint

Hi
As part of my Abbey National mortgage in the early 1990s, I took out a Friends Provident endowment plan, which I believe was mis-sold.
I made a complaint by recorded delivery to Abbey National's London headquarters early last month, using a modified endowment action letter and requesting a response within 2 weeks.
I have heard nothing back.
Does anyone know what my next steps should be? Have I contacted the right people, ie Abbey National (someone at their branch advised me on it, and I took out the "Abbey National Mortgage Plan" in parallel with my mortgage) - or should I have complained directly (or jointly?) to Friends Provident?
i'd appreciate any advice,
Thanks

It is probable that the salesman was acting as a tied agent of FP at the time, not as an employee of Abbey Nat.The latter may have forwarded your complaint on of course, this is what would normally happen.
But if nothing has happened after 2 months I would lodge the complaint with FP.Trying to keep it simple...0 -
FP are virtually all time barred now. I would chase the complaint now as two months could make a difference at this stageI am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Is it true that I need to have received a warning letter about my time running out? I have received no such letter.0
