Tesco/Asda Pricechecker Thread - part 3

We've just had a whole leg of lamb for dinner, courtesy mainly of Mr T. When I looked at the label it was English lamb so I was really worried but it was fine. Looks as though any whole leg of lamb will qualify for DTD.
Also, as Ive been feeling guilty about all these wonderful goodies I thought I'd donate some to a new Basics Bank being set up locally.0 -
Just wanted to point out that Tesco have today reduced the price of their Warnincks Advocaat 70cl from £11.49 to £9.50, i.e. the same price as Asda's, so there is no DTD deal to be had with Advocaat anymore, unfortunately for Snowball fans.
They caught me out on this, because this morning the Tesco website was still showing £11.49, I went and bought some for £11.49, then got home in the afternoon and the website listed price had changed to £9.50.
If you paid £11.49 for it, that was Tescos price at the time you paid for it, so you should get DTD. It doesn't matter what the website shows now.
The website gets updated all the time, but it is the price you actually paid that is compared.Sealed Pot Challenge No 9 516 target £250

Walkers Doritos Lightly Salted (250g)
All flavours are 2 for £3.50 at T and 2 for £2.00 at A (must buy in 2s) so £3.00 DTD and actual cost = 50p=25per pack

Thank you so much guys for this thread and the SS, it has really helped me stock up on brands that I previously could never afford. The kids are in their element at the moment!! I am also looking forward to washing my clothes in something other than asda value washing powder.
I was telling an elderly neighbour about DTD yesterday although i'm not sure she really grasped the concept of it. Anyway after chatting a while about easter etc my 5 year old daughter pipped up that she has loads of free easter eggs from tescos in the fridge
Anyway my neighbour who does alot for charity including a local hospice for children said something along the lines of "alot of the poorley children would love to have easter eggs". This obviously has played on my daughters mind in the last 24hrs and as a result we have been to 3 different Tesco's and used a total of 6 DTD vouchers buying 30 treasure easter eggs......
I have just been with my daughter to take them over my neighbours house so they can be delivered to the hospice tomorrow....:T You should have seen the grin on my daughters face when she handed them over to my neighbour.....Thank you Mr T....:j0 -

I've been away from the computer for the weekend but can confirm that the cool originals work. So can be added to SS.
Went to the Warrington Extra on my way home and found rack of lamb!!! This is a first for me and four of them are now sitting happily in my freezer. I find it hard to imagine being able to afford them in the normal course of events but some people must buy them...
SA called over a supervisor who checked receipts, signed the old ones and returned them to me. No hassle and very happy to cope with me separating the shopping into two transactions.0 -
i just checked my price check and thankfully the british leg of lamb works fine... only ended up costing £ 2.00One cannot change the past, but one can ruin the present by worrying over the future.0
