Good evening all.... just got back from work but went to Tesco on the way back to take advantage of the fairy glitch - is everyone aware of it? Here's what happened.......
Got some bananas (thought it would look better than just buying Fairy) and picked up 2 bottles of the fairy (just in case it didn't work).
Put through SS til and it took off 2 discounts
so I went back grabbed 6 more, scanned them and then grabbed another 6 (the last ones).
Total came to £7.04 (I had bananas remember).
Paid by cash and left the store. :j
As I was leaving I heard someone say 'excuse me miss'..... I turned round and it was the security guard .
Inside I was bricking it but I had to play the innocent card. :A
He then asked me if I was the same young lady that had been abused by a cyclist yesterday....
No I replied, I'm not.
(by this time by arms are really killling me and as I'm 6 months pregnant, carrying 14 bottles of Fairy was doing me no favours, baby was squirming like mad).
He then proceded to explain how a cyclist had started abusing a pregnant lady yesterday and he thought it was me (god do we all look the same!!!:rotfl:)
I then told him I would watch out for abusive cyclists.
He wished me good night and I promptly legged it walked to the car.
I drove off into the night thanking my strong bladder, those pelvic floor exercises have really paid off!
Anyway I will be back in Tesco tomorrow morning for more DTDing, I will look out for cyclists! My daughters are my world0 -
My husband keeps drinking my Wolf Blass. He thinks because it was almost free, that's OK. He doesn't get that it's worth £9 a bottle. Grrrrr.
I need to stock up on red. I've been going overboard on the white and rose recently (in fact, I've gnoe VERY overboard on it tomight - can you tell?!!). :rotfl:0 -
Good night everybody xxxx0

I went to Mr T's tonight to show my sister how to do the DTD shopping and had a look at the Fairy Liquid but had not really read about the glitch so did not buy any.
However when you look at the Spreadsheet it says the net cost of the Fairy against Asda works out at 47p anyway. So I think Tesco maybe knows about this as either they give it to you for 47p or you buy it singly and claim DTD and end up getting it for 47p anyway. Strange.
On another note please can I say that I think the Spreadsheet guys and gals are really great and I cant thank you all enough. But it seems that there is an element of sniping and nasty comments creeping in. Please can we keep this thread nice and friendly as our objective is all to save money and enjoy nice things like free lamb and cheap wine etc.
Remember what happened with the Boots thread that was closed down due to nastiness.
