Hi - never had a problem accessing the spreadsheet either on line or off line before but now when I'm hitting the link it either comes up with an error code or request access button? Am I doing something wrong.... starting to get shaky not being able to see the bargains!

It's temporary, see post above. give it 5 minutes
  • This was posted on the old thread but it got totally buried:
    *** DEAL ***
    Carlsberg Lager 12 x 440ml (Cans)
    PRICE TESCO £10
    PRICE ASDA £8
    DTD £4
    NET COST AFTER REFUND £6
Not a bad deal if you're looking to stock up, just make sure you only buy one at a time as Tescos have these on multibuy offer at the moment.

I'm having fun with the offline spreadsheet!

At last I have made it go into English. If you are having problems, go to your iGoogle home page and explore all the settings options you can. (Click the little round gear icon if you can see it.) You'll eventually find some account settings and document settings. Change it to English, unless you actually want it in Chinese, Scotsgirl!

Someone asked if you can make it show more rows. There's a box in the top right which says 'rows per page'. To the left of it, it tells you in bold how many lines there are. The version I am viewing says 1-250 of 410. Change the rows per page to 500 and you'll see everything.

Thank you to petrolman for explaining how to save the spreadsheet as something sensible. That only worked for me when I was able to change it from simple view to spreadsheet view. Then at the top of the spreadsheet, not at the top of the internet browser, I got the menu which says File (Edit) View etc. That enabled me to download it as Excel, which is what I wanted to do.

Apologies if everyone knows all this and it is just me who was having problems.

I can't see any indication of when the offline version was saved. If it isn't there, is it possible for editors to create a new row at the very top of the spreadsheet with a cell containing the date and time it was last edited? There are two ways of doing this simply. One is to type =NOW() and the other is to click insert, function, click 'more', click 'date' and then double click the now option in the right hand column. I am presuming this will remain static when it is saved as the offline version but I don't actually know that.

And thank you, everyone, for all the work involved in this. I, for one, am very grateful.
