Hi I live in York & visit the two big stores daily. Always lamb in Askham bar never any at Clifton Moor. Not had any problems yet except one trout who remarked "You've got 4 vouchers now & the last time I served you you had 4 vouchers! Yes, I said I shop for myself, daughter, Mum & a friend everyday - you should try it yourself could save you some money! she called the superviser who promptly told her to put them through! Loved it should have seen the look she gave me. I was very pleasant smiled & just said see you again next time!Hi - I've been in Selby (close but not quite the same i know)!
Its fab there - all the SA's are lovely!! Been all over North Yorks looking for fellow DTD'ers but never seen anyone and no SA i've been to had even seen a voucher before!! No lamb tho anywhere and its OH's favourite!!
Agree that with this being in the email it could very quickly be game over!!
Confirmed on the Time out 9 pack today £1.28 / £1.

My poor mum went into Tesco tonight with a list from me and a £20 voucher, had to phone me half-way round as the coffee was out of stock but quickly found her an alternative DTD item and she completed her mission successfully. BUT she's somehow managed to come home without the receipt . She's got the one from the 'normal' shop she did immediately beforehand so we know which till and what time etc - will she be able to go back and get them to print her a copy or is that not possible?
Reluctant to let go of a £20 voucher if I can help it!
:AYou can still enter the DTD details on the price check - add one to the last 4 digits as this is the sequence of the transaction for the DTD shop and then best guess how many minutes it would have taken the operator to process the DTD shop and add this on to the time.
You can have as many attempts as you like at the time as long as you have the transaction sequence right;) - I heard of someone who got a DTD voucher for someone else's shop before them by doing this. Let us know how you get on.:eek:0 -
colours are really useful thanks:Tfiglesquidge wrote: »The colours give an idea of how new/old data is.
Blue - confirmed today
Green - confirmed yesterday
Yellow - confirmed in the last week
dark Purple - warning not confirmed.
If anyone has a better set of colours (green/yellow/red looked too distracting) then I can change them, or if people don't like it can easily remove completely, but for me it was quite useful.0 -
Any idea when this is coming round? I don't follow the email, but am a little apprehensive about holding money 'invested' in vouchers if there's a chance we're about to get a massive influx of new people. Its not that I have a problem with spreading the word, I think that's fair enough and it would be selfish not to, just that if a large number suddenly join there's a risk stores may become more savvy as to what constitutes 'abuse'.imtoolazytothinkofaname wrote: »SS is looking good, thanks so much to all that have gone to the effort to do it
I know that Martin advertising DTD in the MSE e-mail will prob have implications but in a way it also makes what we're doing more legit. I'm not going to feel so naughty now when I go shopping with my vouchers tomorrow

To be honest, I think this is one of the reasons they shouldn't be too worried about the deal. You wouldn't have bought that [from them] if you weren't in Tesco, so they've secured some custom. Also, I suspect that the calculations made whilst preparing the promotion assumed a certain cost, and that the £20 limit put them back on track for this.marc.faulkner wrote: »Have to admit, I was quite "naughty" this evening and instead of recycling a voucher (£16.85) I threw all of my MSE principles out of the window and blew it on one of the Tesco Finest "Meal for 2" deals!
(and a few other odds and ends)
Ah well, I've still got a couple of decent sized vouchers which I can recycle tomorrow to get back on track, plus I haven't really paid for this splurge as it was about a 6th generation recycle anyway so all is good.

Friends Of Martin Map
Emmliss had the great idea (and found a interactive map website) to have a interactive map showing where all us DTDers are shopping!
Here's the link: http://www.zeemaps.com/tesco_dtd
To leave your mark - search on the map for the location of your tesco branch. If your branch isn't on there, follow instructions 1 to add it, if you branch is on there follow instructions 2.
Instructions 1
>At the top of the map screen, click the 'additions' tab
>Choose 'add marker - detailed'
> Enter the name of your tescos, eg 'tesco bangor'
>Click the blue writing saying 'map select location' then click on the map area where your tescos is - this will input the longitude & latitude into the relevant boxes.
>Click the detailed tab, and in the 'description' box enter 1- your MSE user name (or other alias id you prefer)
>Click submit
Instructions 2
>In the top, right hand corner click 'unlock' and enter the password 'martin'
>click on the red marker at your branch location.
>In the bubble that opens up, click on the tescos name in blue writing
>This will open a 'change entry' box, click on the 'details tab' and in the description box, type in the next number followed by your MSE user name (or another alias if you prefer)
>Click submit
Add your name to all the tesco shops you use
Please don't forget to add your username (or another alias) to the description box for your local tescos - this way we can see how many DTDers are using our local branches
Hope this works ok!0 -
