Hi all, I am hoping that anyone could help me with some ideas.
We are flying out to Jamaica on a very well earned holiday at the end of January.
Does anyone have any ideas or plans help on how we could get upgraded on the flight? We are flying with Thomson from Manchester.
Thanks in advance for any help

I doubt if thompsons will upgrade you. You sometimes have a chance with a scheduled flight especially if you have a gold or even silver card. Also you never get upgraded if you have children with you.
I once flew to the states with my husband who was going business class through his work. Although there were seats available and we checked in together I had to stay in steerage while he sipped champagne and streched out in his comfy chair.0 -
As above really, although if you get to check in early enough and maybe slip some confetti in your p/port...... mention you are going on honeymoon maybe ??!! Still doubt it very much, but hey what's the worst they can say ?!
I am in the future you know...
...9 hours ahead to be exact !:D0 -
dress smartly - tie and jacket for men
dress/skirt with jacket for women
be extra polite and courteous so staff will remember you
arrive early
be willing to move seats if asked
if flight is oversold and you are asked to volunteer to take an earlier or later flight ask for an upgrade (if the airline has inconvenienced you they are more likely to upgrade)
mention birthday/anniversary/or any celebration during your trip
ask about upgrade fares when you book tickets the info may be passed on and sometimes the difference can be as low as $20 a seat depending on airline
belong to a frequent flyer club
use a credit card with redeemable airmiles to pay for tickets
good luck!A bargain is something you don't need at a price you can't resist :j0 -
only way with Thomsons it to add premium seat at £225pp for long haul or extra leg room for around £80pp thats if they still have them on your flight. They sell out quickly usualy but check in early and you might get left overs or a cancellation prem upgrade for about £100 each way ppIf you look anything like your passport photo....Your too ill to travel0
