why do you want it in savings account?

I suggested this as a way to put money aside for blu to offer a full & final offer on the charging order...which could work out MUCH cheaper than paying the co in full - definitely something to consider....

I thought this would be a good idea but just concerned that CCCS will ask for the additional surplus and distribute it as they see fit as they already do, if I don't tell them I would not feel right about being dishonest. I have no idea what to do for the best.

If you like CCCS to continue to manage your dmp then they will spread the surplus money to your creditors (but again I'm not sure how this will work towards the co..) If you decide to pay more off the charging order you can either 1. not tell cccs about this extra money & pay off the co yourself or 2. manage the dmp youself & decide to pay who what- which is what I do - it's not difficult to do at all - honest! Thanks that is certainly worth considering as want to pay as much as I can towards the CO. I can't believe the mess I am in really and the CO is worth more than the rest of the debts, although the way Lloyds are going I will be paying them forever!
Did you do your own DMP from the beginning?

would CCCS allow me to take back the CO but still manage the rest? I need to get my head around the best way forward before the 1st new payment in May.

    Tbh,

I'd do a self managed dmp and pay who you want, what you want.

This may seem controversial, but I can guarantee it has worked...

...those who will not freeze interest, threaten them that if they do not cease interest, you will pay them NOTHING at all - as all the time they are adding interest, it's a pointless excercise, as you wish to clear you debt.

This route can and does work.........;)

I really like managing my own DMP - I'm in complete control & I'm not hassled by creditors at all. As strange as it sounds I feel enpowered by it. I suppose I could have used CCCS in the beginning when things were really tricky but I'm glad that I stuck it out...you can always call their advisors when you self manage & get their advice on issues that may arise....hth, SF

Thanks again, this is really giving me idea that this may well be the way forward, I guess I would need to speak with CCCS. Do you think I would be ok to just take over the payments or write to all my creditors to let them know I would be managing the DMP myself from now on?

Can you elaborate on "paying the charging order"?

Do you mean you are trying to pay as much as possible to those that have the order?
