Savings Account advice needed plz

I am looking to open an online savings account , I dont want anything fancy just something I can put any odds and ends in.

Credit rating is currently shot to bits so not sure who would be best if anyone will take me . Had a look at Tescos bank but would be grateful for any advice. Not too bothered about i it as its just a wee emergency fund/xmas savings account.

I don;t believe theres a credit check for a savings account, because it's not a credit product.

    They'll do an ID check.

Whar about an ISA - they are instant access and any interest is tax-free...?

Thank you for the quick reply tellme .... I am a bit ignorant to savings as we were always spenders which is why we were in a mess but thankfully a year in July and we are sorted yayyyy. Will have a look into ISAs and how they work
