I think with the Co-Op you probably needed to go for the Cashminder account
Also, Barclays do a basic account that apparently requires no credit check - Cash Card Account, I believe it's called. Of course if you have any debts with them then it won't be an option.0 -
Got debts with Barclays I am afraid. Never mind! looks like I might have to try the Co-operative cash minder account. Thanks everyone0

You should be fine with a cashminder, they accept bankrupts after all.I refuse to be afraid of the big bad wolf, spiders, or debt collection agencies; one of them's not real and the other two are powerless without my fear.
(Ok, one of them is powerless, spiders can be nasty.)
As of the last count I have cleared [STRIKE]23.16%[/STRIKE] 22.49% of my debt.

We got a co-op cashminder (but only after being upsold and consequently refused a current account). Fortunately they re-applied for cashminder without us having to go back and re-fill in paperwork, we just rang and asked specifically for cashminder which went through fine.LBM Feb 11 - Joint Debts of around £80,000 _pale_ And nothing significant to show for it :embarasse

I am feeling quite calm and relaxed at the moment. But I think it is the calm before the storm. All letters have gone out and all should have got them now. Pack gone off to CCCS and they should have got it by now. Guess the whirlwind is going to start very shortly.0

Hi Helen, I am in the same boat as you in that we have just received our pack from the CCCS and I'm about to fill out the forms. I'm still not sure I'm doing the right thing in my heart but in my head I know things can't continue and realistically there is no way that we will be able to get ourselves out of this hole on our own. It's a scary prospect to say the least not only because I never thought this would happen to us but the whole prospect of a CCJ terrifies me. I'm going to have a look on the DMP thread now but it's so reassuring from reading all of the above posts to know we're not alone in getting into this pickle. Good luck xProud to be dealing with my debts
