but be warned they are *beyond* awful! my friends, family and myself have had about a gazillion orders messed up and would rather starve than use them again! the food arrives after 2 hours, confirmations don't come through, restaurants are clueless about orders, the list is endless. their customer service dept is by and large the worst EVER. they haven't a clue what they're on about. besides CC bookings are charged at 60p..

I've used them since before they launched in the UK (on trips to Denmark) and about 3 times a week since the UK launch... never had much of a problem unless a take-away refuses to send an order (which is rare, but takes a week to get cash back into your bank account).

Their "rewards" program used to have alot more items in it though... now its mainly rubbish "rewards".

It should be about 45min for most deliveries... if restraunts in your area are clueless then that says more about your restraunts than the website you use to place orders though. JustEat dont cook or deliver the food - they just let you place orders with your local take-aways (and let you use your cards or cash to pay).

that's my point.. justeat collect your payment very efficiently but their glitchy systems don't pass the orders on to the restaurants. *that's* why the restaurants are clueless. not for any fault of their own. the restaurants in fact help out immensely by trying to contact the useless CS dept of JE and fail as we all do. the issue lies with JE. anyway, this is just my (and my fam+fr) experience. it's just a heads up. that's all.

i'd suggest using their site to check local restaurants and menus etc but skipping the online ordering process and just quickly calling up the restaurant and establishing personal contact. the 10% discount is their incentive but CC orders are charged at 60p so that somewhat cancels it out if it's a smallish order.

We order through JE about once a month, have done for a year, and we've only once had a problem (where the confirmation didn't appear) but I emailed them and it was sorted within 30 minutes. Deliveries always come quicker than quoted, quickest has been 10 minutes from the nearest Chinese. Never any mix-ups on the order or anything.

As I sometimes struggle to make myself understood because of language difficulties - I have to order some dishes without vegetables for OH - I am definitely an online ordering fan, and use JE every time.

I had an order get denied by a take-away as they were apparently too busy to take more orders, I hit the live-support button to chat to a support person... and as I was chatting to them - someone from JustEat called my mobile, appologised, told me what had happened and said they'd credit the money back.

That kinda confused me as I was busy talking to support agent with the web-chat at the time and didnt realise that the person calling me wasnt the one I was already typing messages too. JustEat were too eager to call me! :rotfl:
