Not me - but when you find it do pass it on. I'll be having nightmares if I can't get that image out of my head! Makes speedos look positively tame.0 -
Wave Hello to Suzitiger.
Can't believe the time it has taken me to empty a narrow top cupboard in the kitchen, clean the shelves then sort out the spices, herbs, seasonings and stock cubes.
Most of it is now in glass jars and arranged in order so I now know what I have and can find things.
DD(25) comes home tomorrow for a week so looking forward to having her home. Ordered a lovely duck egg blue single duvet cover and a bedside/ sofa side table for the small spare room and hope it arrives soon. At only £36 from halfcost for both items and free postage I could not resist it. Trying to decide if I have the energy to help DH move a different shelving set in there - but might wait till tomorrow as I am shattered after cleaning the kitchen etc.
No idea what to make for tea, maybe a veggie noodley spicey dish with courgettes, peppers, onions etc. Have gone right off pasta since the Jamie Oliver recipe I tried which everyone hated!

I am gutted to hear about Habitat in Glasgow closing down, it was my first proper part time job when I was at school in 19mumble mumble, When they moved it to Buchanan galleries, I was sad, and then delighted when it went "home" again. I loved working there for two years, and still have lots of fond memories of my times there. Its sad to see what the problems in the economy are doing, that's more people out of workIt's what is inside your head that matters in life - not what's outside your windowEvery worthwhile accomplishment, big or little, has its stages of drudgery and triumph; a beginning, a struggle and a victory. - Ghandi0

Jackie - I was the same when woolworths went - having worked there through university it is indeed very sad times. Its also those sort of places that give the teenagers and students saturday jobs and its making it so hard for them to find part time work.
Its hard to see any sign that the economy is making any progress or recovery when almost daily we hear of major companies failing - more redundancies and cuts.0 -
Grrrrrrr....four times today a short alarm (about 10 peeps long if that makes any sense) has sounded "somewhere" in the house and we can't trace the source - is driving me mad. Mad I tell you!!! When I'm downstiars it sounds like the sound is upstairs and when I'm upstairs it sounds like it's downstairs.:mad::mad:
I've spent most of the afternoon since getting home from work looking at the budget to try and re-jig it for hefty winter bills. Not with any great degree of success I might add. When I first went back to work after our youngest DS was able to get himself to school and back (6 years ago) my salary was meant to provide extra's and help boost our almost non-existant savings. Now it's all spoken for almost every month for essentials. And it's not getting any easier.
Picked another colander full of raspberries today - never had such a harvest before. Tomatoes are just flowering, same with courgettes and dwarf beans. I have some Peas and/or mange tout ready every day now.....please pray I don't get back from my 2 week camping holiday and find it all dead! Oldest DS is coming in to water every day but he's not a gardner and previous years of him doing this have had mixed results
Right - going to have another search for the mystery alarmPeople Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading
