As it's basically a Ford Mondeo under the skin, any competent mechanic should be able to assist, only issue might be reading fault codes. What's the problem and what area?

Well, the parts involved dont seem to be Mondeo bits.

Basically the car is leaking oil from the inner driveshaft end on the front passenger side.

Our 'competent mechanic' got us to get a new oil seal from Jaguar which we did. That didnt work so he believed it to be wear on the driveshaft itself.

A new shaft from Jaguar was around 500, but we managed to get one by exchange for 220, plus another new seal from the Jaguar dealer.

Its fitted and the car is still leaking oil

So rather than rely on another competent mechanic i was going to try to souce a Jag specialist to have a look.

400 lighter and still leaking oil isnt funny any more... :(
