I've been asked to post the daily classic fm cd competitions in regulars as it is an ongoing promotion

At present, there is usually a different prize each week, with a daily different question (mon-fri) for a daily prize. Each competition opens around 11am and ends 10am the following day (apart from Friday's question which ends on Monday morning)

Given discussions on different posts and on the comp board discussion board today, I would like to post this on the main board for this week, with a link to regulars before it gets moved to regulars permanently. This way, I hope that people who use the main board will be notified of the change and regular users will be also able to access the competitions.

I don't want to be drawn into the politics of change, and I hope that this post respects the views of all

Hi Korky,

I'm happy to update this new thread daily (although sometimes I am late posting dependent upon what shift I am working), so if anyone else wishes to add the answers to the daily questions as they are put on the website, then please feel free to do so

Ok, will someone please explain to me, why comps that have always been posted on the main board are now being moved - all these comps have end dates (or they did last week and the weeks before that) and as i said earlier, the votes that have happened have all shown a clear majority want comps with an end date to be on the main board. I do not understand why 'they have no overall end date' is a reason to move them - most of the comps on here dont have an 'overall end date' but if they still have an end date why are they being moved?

Can i also add that i thought ONGOING or ONCEONLY comps where ones that you post once, and then re enter from the same link at a regular time - if it needs a link or question updating then why is it moving to weekly?

Can I ask, is there a separate prize each day? Or do you have to enter each day to be entered into that week's competition?

I've amended the OP to make it clearer, but there is a daily prize relating to a new daily question, but the prize is the same for the week

thanks, sorry, i didn't mean that you have to update, what i meant was, if this/these comps are to be posted in weeklys without being posted on main first a lot of peeps who use main are going to miss out on the comps

nursey71, I hope you don't mind if I ask who asked you to post this in regulars.

There have been far too many shifted to regulars that really shouldn't be there and if we know who's asking for them to be put there we can do something about it
