Gift Aid

Hello all
After MUCH scrimping and saving of coppers in a large jar, i have saved up £10 that i would like to give to a relative's charity as sponsorsip for him running the London marathon shortly.
My question is - can i also tick the box for 'Gift Aid' on the online form? I ask as i have just finished paying nil-tax for the tax year and i really don't know how that would work at the start of a new year, or if it would flag up with the OR somewhere (and cause them to think what am I doing throwing money about when BR when they could be having it instead)
Thanks for any responses

Any thoughts?
I'm guessing that as Nil Tax has ended then Moonbeever/OR won't see anything relating to this.
Or you could just give your friend the cash! When I joined, I needed a name. The forum members gave one to me...I am INAN
