At Last am dealing with my Debts

After months off worry, sleepless nights etc. i have finally come to my senses and dealt with my debt. I have a business and we have had a slow year, added to that I am a slient partner on another business with a so called friend. The so called friend has run the business into the ground and I have gave her help and more help and more help but she is not listening. I have lost all my credit rating so I cannot borrow a penny from the banks etc.
I feel you cannot help someone who will not help themselves!!!!!!!
Have now called cccs on a recommedaton from the bank and feel better for it!!!!!!
I have been looking around this website and didnt relalise there were so many people in the same situation.
next thing is now to write all my debts down, just waiting for paperwork from cccs to arrive to se the final total.
Speaking to cccs next Monday and things hopefully will be on the up from there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so here's being to getting debt free and stress free!!!!!!!!

Well done - youve probably taken the hardest step - that is realising you need help.
you should get lots of support on these boards
welcome to the dfw board - its a great feeling to be doing something positive rather than feeling helpless, and there are so many on here that understand what youre going through

no point in doing grocery challenges, have no money left over to eat :0/0 -
I understand how you feel.
I have twice remortgaged my house to keep my business afloat & help my nephew set up business with my cash.
The nephew just thought it was easy to keep asking Aunty for more , took a few months before I realised i could not lend any more. No chance of that cash coming back, my decision, my mistake!
The other business, well the lightbulb moment when I realised everybody else was benefitting while my debts were growing & my income was dropping!
I have staff who are better paid than me with none of the stress!
So now I am selling my house, I know that I am lucky that I have enough equity to pay off my debts & put a fair sized deposit on a much smaller house.
I don't know how people carry on without a worry in the world while behind the scenes their debts grow. The worry has driven me crazy.
I took the good times so now I have to deal with the bad!
