I was in the middle of making a large batch of red velevet up cakes this afternoon and ran out of cases. How do you make the flower petal cupcake cases that are all the rage for muffins these days?

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry. But by demonstrating that all people cry, laugh, eat, worry and die, it introduces the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.

I've tried having a google search but can't find anything specific to the cupcake case itself. There are plenty for the cupcake wrappers whereby you take the edge of a doily or similar patterned paper and use that to fold it around. I'm guessing from there that you could use greaseproof in the same way that some of the fancy shop bought muffins are baked (trimmed to fit the size of the tin) and then fitting a special "wrapper" around it.

I would try using a glass tumbler the same sort of size and shape as the cupcake base and shape the greaseproof paper round that. If you have a deep muffin tin it would be helpful to hold the sides in whie it cooks.0
