I really don't want to but I am fed up of throwing good money after bad on this one, we must have spent over £1000 on it in the last year.
We have got about £4500 saved up in ISA's due to selling endowments( I know we should have used it for debt but it was my debt but our savings!) and would probaby get about £1500 for this car but I just really don't want to spend the money!
Still at least we will not be getting into debt for it, hopefully won't have to spend any money on repairs for a new car, and will be able to save up fairly quickly once Christmas is out of the way....

Sorry to hear that Minty - Still you should get something half decent.I am NOT, nor do I profess to be, a Qualified Debt Adviser. I have made MANY mistakes and have OFTEN been the unwitting victim of the the shamefull tactics of the Financial Industry.
If any of my experiences, or the knowledge that I have gained from those experiences, can help anyone who finds themselves in similar circumstances, then my experiences have not been in vain.

What car have you got Minty? We are in the same boat - sick to the back teeth spending money on the car - over £1900 in the last 18 months. Bought it new so have always looked after it, servicing, low mileage and it has been the most costly car we have ever had. Ours is a Vauxhall Agila (apparantly made by Suzuki?). Looking to change it next Spring - it won't be a Vauxhall. We have always taken ours to the main dealer for its 'medicals' and 'treatment' and as it was due for its MOT last week we took it to a non-dealership garage because we thought they would be cheaper - they were. But over the last week the Vauxhall garage have called and written several times reminding us that the car is due a service and MOT. "I'm not surprised" says OH. "I should think they've had to cancel their Christmas party as the 'mugs' haven't taken the car in for its annual overhaul" :rotfl:0
