All of you are beginning to make me realise how lucky I am, I have none of your symptoms. (and I wish you didnt either):Dmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
LOL @ McKneff - no I think either we are unlucky or you are lucky - I dont even know if more people have more symptoms or dont.0

5 days on from injection and I am still feeling very very tired - am taking lozenges too and hoping that tomorrow I will be full of beans.
Does anyone elses skin break out after they have their jabs? I get big red angry lumps/spots - that dont really have a head but go across my chin up my jaw and into my hair. The ones in my hair are the worst cos I catch them with my brush.0 -
Hi Buddingblonde
That sounds like an allergic reaction. Perhaps next time you could arrange to go back to your GP the day after your injection to show him.
I have had PA for many years now. Like others on this thread I have other autoimmune conditions so its difficult to pin down any symptoms to one particular condition.
The PA Society says that some people have ongoing symptoms even when their blood count is normal, unfortunately.
Sorry to send such a negative sounding post. I think the PA Society website is very informative. Maybe you need to persuade your GP that the "in range" level for your blood count should be raised.
Take care

I will mention the spots to the specialist when I see her again - I think the best way I can describe them as being like hormonal spots (the spots you get when you get your period).
Is PA more likely in women than men? All the people who I have spoken to about PA who have it are women and all those who have known someone with it have been women. Do men get PA?
I am off to look at the PA society website. Maybe I will get answers there.0 -

Yes, men do get PA. I think I read somewhere along the line that it is more common in women. Maybe you've only encountered women because we're more inclined to talk about this kind of thing.
I've had it since I was about 20 (eight years now), so I find it hard to tell if problems I have are caused by it or something else. But I do get extremely tired about a week before my injection.0 -
Sorry, only just caught up on this thread again. I too get a few spots after injection, not as bad as yours though by sound of it! My injection doesn't seem to be doing much this time either so will try out of the lozenges, where did you get them from? Also off to the PA website . Thanks0

I have B12 deficiency and am also on regular injections. I crave fish as my injection is wearing off. I generally hate fish but get these overwhelming craving and have been found eating kippers out of a tin. Im due one in May and beginning to feel the urge......I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Wow never heard of a fish craving! I'm a scientist so really should know a theory behind it :-) yuck though, kippers! Lol0
