DNW and others this thread has left me with shivers. Like most of you have already said it mirrors where we are/have been. And your final post about "your late dad" just hit a cord. My dear late dad would never have credit just cash - his first debit card he got about 3 weeks before passing away and had used once. He thought it was wonderful, but what was truly remarkable was that he got through life with no credit of any kind, if you didn't have the cash you didn't have the goods. WHY OH WHY hadn't I learnt from him. Really wish you well on your journey. Just a few words of advice for those of you who are wisely ringfencing money to enable you to make payments on time - just remember if you are saving in another bank the transfer will not be immediate and could take 3-5 days for the transfer to take place. Please don't get caught out and then having to pay charges. Good luck one and all. Billie xx
