Nearly there but one small problem

Hi All,

We are close to purchasing our first home. We are exchanging next week with completion being at the end of April. My girlfriend has just had a late payment which has now been paid. Is this going to affect us? We have our mortgage with Skipton and have received the offer in the post. Do they do another credit check?

Little worried - any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I very much doubt it. Would be a tad harsh if it did.

I wouldnt worry about it. Things will have been sorted by now and something as small as that won't affect it.

Check your mortgage documentation, it probably says you have to inform them if your circumstances change.
I don't think that would count.

You can also call them and ask if they need anything else. They may say if they want another check. I doubt it to be honest. I can see you wouldn't want to flag with the underwriters that you may be a bad risk, but the only way to be sure would be to disclose to them.

Have you checked her rating with experian?

You have your offer, unless it states about informing them, you will be fine, being one day late, would not normally be grounds to withdraw an offer,
