Why sign letters electronically not in ink?

Have noticed on numerous letter templates and posts in the Forum stating that it is advisable when sending letters to DCAs, banks and alike to sign letters electronically or just print your name. Why is this?:question:

because some horrible debt collectors sometime use the signature on the letter to forged yours ;-)0
