  • Thanks everyone for your replies, a few things i want to reply to,

the clothing of £50, we have a 14 week old, all we have been doing is buying clothes as she has grown out of them every 5 weeks,

The electricity and gas, we live in a rural area of Wales, all it does is rain, last month our bill was £160 combined, because of the baby the dryer is constantly on at the moment.

The TV and Internet, because we are so rural there is no combined down here, you have to pay for land line, Broadband and TV separately, you can have all from the one supplier however its not really cheaper, there is no cable just Sky.

As for my wifes Wages and Benefits sorry i included them in her wages, she is currently on maternity leave, due to go back in December, we currently get £440 in wages, £80 Child benefit an £30 working tax benefit. May mistake

Regarding baby clothes, is it really necessary to keep spending when the clothes are only useful for a few weeks? Ask around friends and neighbours for the pile in the attic, try Freecycle, charity shops and eBay.

Obtaining them free or at least second hand would mean you could have enough to not have the tumble dryer going constantly. OK, I know it means loads of baby clothes hanging on radiators, but it's cheaper and how a lot of people manage, the sun is out more now too so you should be able to use the washing line more soon (Welsh rain permitting).

BFM can you clarify who uses the car? How do you get to work?

Thank you for clarifying the CHB/TC issue.

If you look at my post 5 then that is roughly at the moment how an OR may look at your income.

McKneff is trying to show you how to minimise your spending to get as much as you can to repay your debts on a DMP (self managed or through a debt charity) But he missed the fact there are 3 of you not 2.

thanks for all the advice, sorry missed the car bit, i have a work van so i take it home, company owned, i do use the wifes car for personal commuting shopping ect,

things may be taken out of my hands slightly as the business debt is overdraft, i had a chat with the bank last week and they stated that as i am no longer self employed the agreement is void and that it must be repaid in full with 30 days, i have an official meeting with them next week, im predicting then they will issue an termination of agreement and officially request full settlement, i did ask them about converting it to loans to allow me to pay it off however i basically no a no chance on that.

OK, then you need to reduce your wife's contribution as the car is her expense and does not go on the SoA. Does she have any other expenses.

Phone Business Debtline on Monday and chat to them about your options. They are very nice and don't bite :DAnd as to the loan, well then can't have what you ain't got, so if they won't play ball they can go ..............
