Just put a thin layer of butter icing onit, and some sugar glazed orange peices or hundreds and thousands
Or dont ice it at all but cut out the word 'MUM' out of some paper, put it over the cake and sprinkle Icing Sugar on it, plus a little pink candle.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

hmmmm sounds good cheers :j
i could peal one of the oranges slice and lay them over a thin layer of butter icing that way i can still use the juice in the topping, put them round the edge and then do the mum thing in the middle
i can see it in my head now thank you

You can buy really small crystalised orange and lemon slices from the supermarket, they might be better than fresh oranges (maybe too big)make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

make butter icing and add the zest of half and orange to flavour it'We're not here for a long time, we're here for a good time0

Boil sugar and orange juice for a minute til the sugar dissolves, poke holes in cake and pour syrup on when cake still hot. It will soak in and give a really tangy flavour, or do an orange buttercream with grated orange rind in it.0

cream cheese icing is good with citrus - 50g melted butter, 100g cream cheese and 200g icing sugar and beaten togther - could add soem orange zest or juice tooPeople seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.
