I cook chicken thighs in the Remoska, with skins on. Then I throw the skin out - which annoys me. Could I use them in anything ?

you could eat them?
u could grill them r bake them til crispy and sprinkle on things?
I love the crispy skin, but it's fatty so if I'm feeling strong willed I give it to the dog

I tried it on the cat but he's got no teeth and just sooks the edges
Am wondering what would happen if you put it in soup...? Liquidised it? 0 -
add your chicken skins and boil with some veg, plus water and a stock cube, liquidise - soup coming up!Resolution:

microwave them for a few minutes-they go like scratchings. Pour off the fat and save for cooking.0

Cut them into small pieces using scissors and give them to the cat or the birds. I put them out for the birds but my cat finds them and hoovers them up!:rotfl:0

Look up Grieben recipes perhaps? It is jewish crackling and onions, heart-attack cooking but fab used as 'croutons' for soup so what the hey? I have only ever used 'raw' chicken skins for it but I don't see why cooked ones wouldn't work, they'd need actually need less energy to render down. If you tried freezing them until you had got enough to try it? As a bonus you also get schmaltz, which is rendered chicken fat a little like lard, great for roasties and has a really high boiling point.
Edited to add: Here is a nice simple recipe:

I did try cutting with scissors and giving to the cat, who turned up his orange nose at it and asked where the real chicken was. I do like the idea of using it as in the Grieben recipe - I dont mind heart attack food & quite like greasy food. TY
