I'm going camping at easter!
Ideally I'd like the lightweight sort of waterproofs rather than that thick rubbery plastic.
any suggestions bargain hunters?

I got some for £2 in Primark's Sale last year but they were only about £8 I think anyway.0

Gaiters are better, you sweat like crazy in trousers. You probably wouldn't need anyway them unless you're going up a mountain?
The best ones to get though are the ex-army ones, they're really well made and will last forever, they are very lightweight.

Thanks everyone - I'll check those options out, some really useful suggestions. I think we will go for waterproofs as we're heading for Glencoe, Knoydart peninsula and Skye. so it's not so much the ground underfoot but the horizontal rain that we fear!0

Go Outdoors looking cheapest so far and because they've got some in clearance we could get a pair for £4.99, another pair for £9.99 and then a whole suit for £10.99. Perfect :-)0

Haha, well, I actually have the trousers and jacket in that exact same material - it stinks, really, really stinks just like diesel and glue, it's also really heavy to wear. But at least while I collapse from the fumes and weight of it I'd be dry :rotfl:0 -
Aldi do them a few times a year, the same sort of material as macks if you see what I mean.
Can't remember how much for though.
