Hi everyone,
Just wondering if any of you have this shelf for your pots and pans...it is out of stock at the moment but I really need something like this!
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/8422381/c_1/1|category_root|Kitchen+and+laundry|14418476/c_2/2|14418476|Kitchenware|14418477/c_3/3|cat_14418477|Hanging+racks+and+pot+stands|14418492.htm
If anyone has this one do you mind me asking if it actually is exactly 90cm wide as stated in the catalog as my space is 88cm! grrr!
I really hope it is a little smaller - fingers crossed!

Why does my dog chase cars? Even if he caught one he hasn't passed his test!

I looked at this in argos and it looks very similar to http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/90140063 which I have in my bathroom, but thinking it would be great in the kitchen with some hooks on the front rail, and it's only 77cm wide. HTH
Oh and they sell the hooks in Ikea too http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/80072644 and http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/00011536There is nothing either good or bad but thinking makes it so.0 -
I don't have an Ikea near me but now you got me looking at hat racks...shoe racks...towel rails! It's amazing how similar a lot of these things are to the proper pots and pans thingy! :rotfl:
Hubby is now in a panick as he can see a disaster coming on (always the same when I get an idea in my head!)
I was just thinking..I have very long white shelves in the attick that used to be in the kids room...I could chop one of them and make a shelf in the space and then maybe put the pans on that and stick some round eye hook things underneath and pick up some s-shaped hooks to attatch to the bottom, I'm sure b&q will have some somewhere....
wish me luck..this could go horribly wrong! :rotfl:Why does my dog chase cars? Even if he caught one he hasn't passed his test!0 -
I need a similar thing for my 70cm gap. I gave even been looking for a chrome trivet that I can adapt for the gap but the largest one I've seen is 50cm.
Can these be altered to got a smaller gap?:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A

Ive just types in 'utensils rack' into google and got loads of long poles with hooks and they do loads of different sizes

I'm not sure pots will fit if they are screwed on close to the wall but maybe putting up a homemade shelf to fit and screwing one of these rails underneath for stuff to be hung from also might work for me so maybe this could be an option for you too jumblejack? Why does my dog chase cars? The space you have to put it in... could you put brackets for a pole on them? Something like you get inside a wardrobe? Then you could just have a pole between them, get some S hooks to fit the pole and you're good to go.250

Thanks for the link babanadog. Just what I've been looking for, for my rather small kitchen. Good price too. :T0

My hubby (who occasionally has his useful moments) made me a hanging rack for pots and pans, he made a retangular wooden frame and fastened part of the wire grid from the bottom of the cot (no longer needed) on to it then fixed it to the ceiling with chains, I bought some butcher's hooks for the saucepans to hang from and I can use the top of the rack for other stuff like mixing bowls and tupperware. It only cost a few quid for the hooks and chain, the rest was all free.Over futile odds
And laughed at by the gods
And now the final frame
Love is a losing game0
