Aw, thanks love! I certainly hope that internet access will allow me to keep coming on, though I imagine my African life will create different lists than the usual here (pay maid and guard, ride boda boda to work, develop taste for goat...)!
OH and I have done the long distance thing before, but I think this time around we're just going to call it off for a bit. We've been together 6 years (since I was 17) and I sort of feel like if we arent ready to commit now, its not going to happen. Anyway the poor man didnt sign up for decades of African and Asian adventures and this is really, truly the way I want my life to go, so I think its only fair to let him get off the ride now.
Obviously we're both all torn up about it, but I think its the right thing for both of us right now. I havent been putting "sob for an hour" on my daily lists, but theres been lots of that lately.Mortgage free by 30:eek:: £28,000/£100,000Debt free as of 1 October, 2010

Afternoon all
Nottoobadyet - all I can say is Yikes! Hope it all works out for you ok and I'm sure it will.
Today hasn't been half bad so far. Even the weather hasn't been that bad : -- Checked banking and updated spreadsheets
- Went for a walk in the park for a couple of hours courtesy of the sunshine
- Took a shopping list and actually stuck to it:eek:
- Was brave and decided to only withdraw half of my weekly shopping allowance as an experiment - it worked as well because I only spent 3/4 of it
. Will be doing that all the time now.
Have a good day all

Afternoon all,
Late one from me as spent the day shopping with my mum and little sis who both made me very jelouse as they are both jetsetting off to different places nxt week!
As a result today has hardly been DFW however i have:
- breakfast at my boyfs
- lunch bought by my mum in town
- found the top i had to take back to Newlook as it was faulty in the one here! had a credit note so I was happy about that!
- Mum gave me £60 as she gave my bro and sis prezzies with her bonus! very thankful, spent £35 on petrol and £15 on clothes.
Although going for dinner tonight with the boyf and going out to the next town along for a mates bday which although will be nice makes me cringe to spend the money!
Tomorow will be better:
- do nothing as will be slightly hungover (hehe)
- finish a bit of uni work
-go to pub quiz/bingo. £1 entry and the prize is £400 tomorow!
have a good weekend everyone and hope you can all be more frugal than me!Paying it all off in 2017:

In addition to my previous list i have also managed to collect a free little t1kes cooker which someone had left on the street, with 'free to a good home' on it. My BIL called me and tipped me off. Just needs a good clean and will be great in the garden for the summer.
Weather got much better. Even managed to get the washing out for a bit0 -
Hello everyone,
First time I have posted on this thread but I have been reading past DFW plans with great interest.
Today I have: - dug over an weeded beds in garden to plant vegetables.
(This has taken hours due to beds being full of roots an not being dug for years - and I had help!)
- done some more neverending housework
- hung washing out to dry on line
- checked banking and snowballs
- had free cups of tea thanks to freebie sample
requested last week
My activities pale into insignificance compared to some of you - where do you get the energy from?
Not quite sure about tomoro yet, I need to sit and plan:)'Bird bird, bird is the word'Long Haul Supporter's Thread no.269The RamonesPresent debt £224365.56Debt free June 20160 -

Evening all,
A bit of an update post. Well after weeks of having declutter on my to-do list boy did we do it. We have managed to give the flat a good once over. My DH has been amazing, cleaning the kitchen whilst I listed the items that had been waiting onto Ebay then we both got stuck in, chucking loads but also finding loads to ebay. So we have currently listed 22 items on Ebay and 14 books on Green Metropolis. We still have a few things to list.
We are now having a well earned rest after about 6 hours of spring cleaning.
Hope you are having a relaxing Saturday night.
