When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free :money:
Examples could be charging your phone up at work instead of at home to save your electricity, hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important.
Good morning everyone. I've been awake since 5.00am but thought that was too early to start the thread. I've already had a productive morning so far, and plenty left to do this weekend. I plan on it being a *doing* weekend and not wasted sitting on the laptop!
So far I have:
).
Have a great weekend folks and I'll catch up tomorrow.

'Encourage' OH to clear out his filing cabinet - we are moving soon, and my reasoning is that if we declutter we will have less to move. Still loads though

Just for once, I have a quiet day, with no work, no DH and no DS!! DH and DS have gone on a trip with the cubs, so am left with just DD. Not much I HAVE to do today so will try to make the most of the time.
So, today I plan to:
Colour my hair (I bought a coulour ages ago but haven't yet used it. I'm going to a party tonight and there are too many greys showing!!)
Go to the butchers and buy some meat for a beef casserole and tomorrow's roast.
Other food shopping as necessary.
Make the casserole and dumplings
Baking- not sure what yet- will see what DS fancies- also want to try a butterscotch tart recipe that a friend gave me
Getting read for the party not a small job!!! (Eyebrows, hair colour, nails etc etc- you can tell I don't get out much!!!)
Take DD to her tennis lesson.
