    1. Prize for 1 winner: Win a four night USA road trip for two in a private RV. Includes return flights from Europe to Las Vegas, Airport transfers, 4 nights & 5 days RB hire, RV welcome pack, snacks & beverages, 1 nights hotel at Las Vegas airport, travel insurance.
    2. Dates of travel must be between September 15th December 2011 and January - March 2012, excluding national holidays and local festivals.
    3. Return flights to Las Vegas will depart from capital cities and may not be direct.
    4. RV hire is based on a Standard or C class vehicle. Driver must be 25 or over and have held a full and current licence for at least a year. Includes: supplementary insurance, third party liability insurance and 100 miles per day mileage.
    5. Driver will be required to pay a security deposit of up to $1,000.00 on the day of hire (credit card only).
    6. All those travelling must have valid passports and applicable Visas and are responsible for online registration of the US Immigration ESTA. https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/
    7. A credit card or cash deposit for incidentals will be requested by the hotel at check in.
    8. Closing date is 15/04/2011; all entries must be received by midnight on this date.
    9. The Winner will be notified by telephone or email.
    10. Only one entry per person.
    11. The promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. There is no cash alternative and the prize is non-transferable.
    12. Entrants must be 25 or over and live in the UK. Employees of Play.com, their families and agencies, and anyone directly connected with the competition are not eligible to enter.

    I think condition 5 needs highlighting as you'll need a credit card with probably around £650+ available credit on it if you win.

    I'll be honest & say that I never really paid a great deal of attention to that condition.I just saw it as a normal condition of holidaying in the USA.When I travelled to New York I was expected to give the hotel a credit card to cover damage etc.I'd imagine that a credit card is required for any vehicle rental,both here & in the USA.

    It does say a $1,000 deposit by credit card is required though, implying they'll take $1,000 off it and refund it if they are happy that the RV is returned in the same condition. In hotels it's usually the case that they want a cash deposit or a credit card number opposed to them actually putting a charge on your credit card even if there is no damage.
