hiya i had a debt with citi card, they passed this on to clarity anyway last week i had a notice that i had a new credit agreement with opus found out they had taken over citi accounts, now i just got an alert that a default notice has been applied to my credit file by opus, can they do this without contacting me the only way i have found out about anything is through equifax alerts?
im still paying clarity with my cccs dmp should i be?

Did citi not issue you with a default after going on your DMP? how long have you been on your DMP?
Have citi ever sent you a default notice?
Have you had any paperwork from Opus at all?

are they the same company under different trading names? like a sister company? what do you want them to contact you for?

even if you are on a dmp you are in default to the original terms and conditions...even if they are accepting your new payment amount etc..

ive just looked again there was no opus on my credit report for 30/12/2010 but on the new 01/04/2010 report there is a new agreement with them and the default which was given to me in december 2009. i search who opus were when i had the credit agreement alert and found on this website that they had taken accounts from citi, but citi passed my account to a dca (clarity) and i have never recieved a default notice letter from them, ive not recieved anything from opus to say they have taken the account back or anything im confussed.
