Spreadsheets: What's in your's?

Hi all,

I'm a a bit OCD and a spreadsheet and graph fan.

I'm putting together a spreadsheet detailing our mortgage and wonder what you lovely people have in yours.

So far, I am planning on:
Year
Remaining
Amount overpaid
Interest saved

I'm making my own which is includes, Interest, Monthly and Daily worked on how many days that month. Overpayment's, one off payments, cost of mortgage, Total payments, end date with/without payments, months saved,Total interest paid/saved, variable interest rates changes (months between etc).

I just keep adding to the form which is very addictive as you say.

    Mortgage-free Glee!
    Hi B&E,

By the end, I had amount owing, mortgage payment, interest accrued, overpayment, net payment, mortgage outstanding, days of mortgage remaining, number of NSDs and daily interest cost. I had graphs showing the decreasing number of days remaining, amount of mortgage outstanding and total NSDs. That was just the mortgage tab of what is currently a 15 tab SOA extravaganza comparing the best phone contracts, insurance deals, shopping offers, price comparisons and a daily updated SOA. I recognise your spreadsheet addiction!!

    Cheers,

    Billy

Me too. I use Locoblades spreadsheet. Infact I have 3 versions - 1 master sheet that shows actuals as they've happened and also forecasted Op's. Then I have a 2nd sheet that just has Op's made to-date (but no forecasted Op's) and the 3rd is the original mortgage just with standard payments as if I've never Op'd and never will. The month-end balances of 2 & 3 get pulled forward to the Master. Am sure there is a better way of doing it - but it's beyond me!

    In my master I have
    Month Ie current date
    Year
    Years into mortgage
    Years remaining on original term
Interest rate applicable (based on Base)
BOE Base with some predictions built into future months
    Minimum payment
    Standard payment
    OP
    Amount of capital repaid
    Amount of interest repaid
    Daily interest
    Cumulative OP total
End balance (ie balance at end of month)
End balance with no future OP's
End balance with no OP's past or present

And the last 3 columns are graphed

And like wynnvegas and others I have a whole array of spreadsheets that rule my life. I love my spreadsheets ;)
  • I use our works management accounts format for my households monthly outgoings and for the mortgage there was a really good excel table you could download (sorry can't remember which thread it was in though)
