Help needed. CCA requests....what next

Hi,

I sent CCA requests on 10th March. Have had no agreements yet and one company has passed the debt to another. Do I send the new company a CCA request too?

What is the next step for the companies who haven't sent me copies of agreements?

I would appreciate some help.

Many thanks:)

Hi, I'd send an "Account sold while in default of CCA" letter which you'll be able to find on the allaboutdebt forum...google it & niddy will help you. Hth SF
  • Thanks, can't find the all about debt forum. How do I find it please. Surely they can't just send the debt to another company????

    Please help....Thanks again

    Hi,

No. If you send the first ones recorded delivery (also, never sign correspondence sent to DCAs), then you have confirmation that the original DCA received them.

That way, if any subsequent DCA so much as contacts you, you can refer complaints about both the new company and recipient DCA to the OFT, the FOS, and Consumer Direct - every time a breach is committed.

What is the next step for the companies who haven't sent me copies of agreements?

I know - they don't like to give that one out for some reason! OP - I'll pm it to you...
  • Hello again.

Well, a few weeks have passed and I still haven't received any credit agreements. One company sent me a printed statement of the account and said that this was enough evidence to prove that I am responsible for the debt. They have now started sending letters again.

Please could somebody advise me what steps to take next. Both with the companies who have sent no agreements and the company who says a statement is suffice.

    I'd really appreciate some help.

    Thanks
