Pepe made me cry yesterday....as I got in he said I had to go into the kitchen and he would walk to me with my back turned (bit like me walking down the aisle to him!) and as I turned around he had his wedding jacket on from ebay........he looks absolutely stunning in it......it could have been hand made to his measurements rather than an ex-hire jacket being sold off as part of a job lot.....beautiful, really beautiful....
had the reception quote back after our tweaks and it comes to the expected 500 for food and arrival and table drinks.
The corkage is dear at 10 quid something (!) so unless we find bargain , nice sparkly for under 6 quid - which is do-able - we will have 4 bottles of their Prosecco for the arrival fizzy at 16 a bottle.
My parents are visiting this weekend and they will meet the inlaws to be on Saturday for the first time - both sets of parents have never met!!:rotfl::eek::rotfl: We are taking them to lunch in the hotel to see the venue, meet the staff and try the food."Stay Wonky":D

Ah, my OH got his suit at the weekend, we r picking it up on sat, n I am going to make him try it all on!
That's exciting about ur parents meeting. My parents and OHs parents met ages ago, cos we started dating when we were in 6th form. My granny has even met his grandma! (they live in the same village miles away in the middle of no-where.) Thats what got us really talking actually... Both chatting about where we had been over the Christmas hols! :rotfl::T0 -

We've got back into wedding mode again this weekThursday night - phoned Bridal shop about bridesmaid dress colour sampleAlso have arranged appointment with s florist for next mondayAnd my mum is picking up my baptismal certificate today. Also - went wedding ring shopping on Saturday, was was pleasently surprised at the cost of mine - much cheaper than other places I have been - we went to the wholesale jewellers where I got my engagement ring.Although we also went to look at a place where you actually make your own rings, so we're getting a quote from him for both our rings.OH can't find a ring he likes he the shops, so designing it and making it ourselves seems like the perfect solutionStill to do:Sort Flowers: (One appointment next Monday, and going to try at least one other place for comparison prices)Church Music: Looking at gettign a string quartet, and maybe get them to play at the arrival drinks at the reception tooInvitations: We have them picked and going to order next weekendTransport - Still to sort. OH's friendis very into cars and has friends with vintage cars, so we're going to go look at these.Weight loss challenge, lose 15lb in 6 weeks before Christmas.0

Ooh, Lazer, designing your own rings sounds nice, you've been pretty busy!
After going to my friend's wedding last week, OH and I have decided to abandon the cinder toffee idea and have a sweetie table for the favours.
I've ordered a sample dress from an online boutique so going to get the BM's to try it on and see how it sits on them, the people who make the dress can make it to their measurements so if the BM's like the dress and it suits them they'll need no alterations (ideally anyway!).
How is everyone else getting on?0 -
