Washing powder/liquid/soda cystals (merged)

hi
after lots of reading on OS, I've started using soda crystals in my wash, with just 1 laundry tablet (was originally 2, and I'll go onto powder once these have gone) ... I'm sure I read that it should be 2 tablespoons (so I've done 4 dessert as don't own tablespoons) but have read tonight someone saying 1 dessert? am I using too much? also free pour the vinegar in the softener drawer - is that wrong?
