Win an Opticron DBA Oasis 8x42 binocular, worth £599!
Birdwatch has teamed up with Opticron once again to offer readers the chance to win some great birding kit.
One lucky reader will win an Opticron DBA Oasis 8x42, while two runners-up will each receive the Trailfinder II 8x42.
It’s hard to improve on an already great product, but Opticron believes it has managed to do so with the latest generation of its DBA Oasis binocular range. The binoculars have a new, soft-textured exterior for better ‘in the hand’ performance. All the superb optical performance of this compact and lightweight range has been retained.
The DBA Oasis S-Coat is available in 8x42 or 10x42 models and sits near the top of the Opticron binocular line-up. The textured rubber armour is designed to provide a comfortable grip in all weathers, and to cope with the extremes of the British weather, the DBA Oasis is nitrogen filled and waterproof to a depth of three metres.
Both models offer long eye relief at 18 mm, allowing spectacle wearers to get the benefit of the 7° field of view of
the 8x42 model. The 21.6 mm diameter lenses make the binoculars extremely comfortable to use, even for long periods.
The DBA Oasis S-Coat comes complete with a soft leather carry case, rainguard, wide lanyard, lens cleaning cloth and user guide. The binoculars are covered by a 30-year guarantee, with full parts and labour cover for the first 10 years. Full terms of the guarantee are available on the company’s website.
