If your previous employer has not issued a P45 and you worked for them on a casual (as and when required) basis, you may still be on their books. In that case you should receive a P60 from them by the middle of May. If they haven't retained you on their books, then they shouldn't be issuing a P60.
You were obviously paid what you believed was a final payment. Presumably you thought it was in line with what you expected. For your missing payslip, can you work out that the gross amount matches with what it should be and that the correct deductions were made?0 -
i worked for them on a perminent basis for 6 years and gave them written notice that my last working day was 30 august . other employers that have since left the company have recieved there p45 no problems0

Unless your previous manager was the payroll manager, I'd phone whoever does the payroll and ask if your P45 has been issued and if so when.
Did they have your correct address on record?
Keep trying with HMRC, they work evenings and weekends these days.Signature removed for peace of mind0 -
With the tax year almost at an end I think you need to work on the basis that you will not get a P45.
As you have completed a P46 the tax office will have been advised that you are with your new employer. If the system is working as it should be the tax office will advise your new employer of your tax code and your pay and tax details from your old employer. Check your payslips to see if they show previous pay and tax or ask your pay office if they have recieved a P6 with these details.
I would also ask your old employer for a copy of your last payslip. As others have had their P45s it looks like yours got lost proberbly with your payslip. Your old employer is not allowed to do another P45. With the copy of your last payslip you can check the pay and tax details if they have come through and if they have not you can check if your tax is correct at the year end.0
