losing my rag with tax code problems.

I started a new job in October last year and planning to keep the two jobs going so i filled in a p46 ands stated i had two jobs.

After a month of being offered more hours from the new job and getting paid more i decided to leave the first position.

I handed in my p45 but i have since been charged tax as though i have two jobs.

i have also received 3 letters from HRC stating my tax allowances for my two jobs for the coming tax year (2011-2012) aarrrrggghh.

i have phoned the tax office several times and keep getting told to talk to my employer-who in turn says there is nothing they can do.

i can't keep this going into the new financial year.

Any ideas much appreciated.
