NI on second job?

Can anyone help me?

I have received my first payslip from my second job but no National Insurance contributions have been taken out. Is this right?

My annual salary in my main job is £23,364 (tax code 503L)

From my second job I earn £258 take home every four weeks (tax code BR)

I thought I would be paying NI? Not that I mind not paying but dont want to be hit with a big bill come the end of the tax year!

Any advice would be great!

NI is not like tax, which is calculated on earnings from all sources.
NI on the other hand looks at incomes separately.
As the threshold for NI is £424 per month, this means that you do not pay NI on the second job, only the Ist.So evrything is in order.
Rules are a little more complex for self employed but you need'nt worry about that.
