R points - understand this right?

1 point = 1p
so 1000 points = £10

I get points for nothing, just going to a site and registering.

I get points for buying through the portal - % based?

Then i get the cash back
No Longer works for MBNA as of August 2010 - redundancy money will be nice though.

  • Do you mean I-points?
I am registered with I-points and it works the way you have described, however I only earn the points by completing surveys etc so have not been able to redeem any so far. I was hoping to use the points to but xmas prezzies, but have earned virtually nothing!!
I don't think it pays cash though, so other readers might be able to suggest better sites which do.

Yes that's right with rpoints.com 1000 points = £10. By you buying through the sites using the links to retailers, rpoints get a referral fee and then they pass some of this back to you.

I now never buy anything online without checking if the shop is on rpoints or if it's available from a shop that's linked from rpoints.

    Hell yeah!!
  • I got some R-points questions too.

I just signed up with them, and dont really understand the payments. Do they send the money to your home address, cos I didnt provide it? Or do they send it to your bank, cos I didnt provide it? Or to your paypal, cos i didnt provide it? How on earth does it send you your money?

Also, could you buy something from Rpoints, then when its delivered, take it back to the high street store for a full refund, but keep your Rpoints earned? That would be a good way of making money from nothing!!

Hi Cobragirl (cool name btw!)

There are two separate sites being talked about here!

    ipoints: http://www.ipoints.co.uk/

This is the site you're talking about - you get points from buying from certain sites, as well as "free" points from surveys etc.

    Rpoints: http://www.rpoints.com/

This is a cashback site, where you get moneyback on your shopping, from certain sites.....

I prefer quidco though - better rates! http://www.quidco.com/

    Remember the MoneySaving mantras!

    IF YOU'RE SKINT......
Do I need it? Can I afford it? Can I find it cheaper anywhere else?

    IF YOU'RE NOT SKINT......
Will I use it? Is it worth it? Can I find it cheaper anywhere else?
