Hi, how far back can I go to claim back tax deducted from savings? I think it's five years but would that mean that I can claim back as far as 2005-2006 or 2006-2007, before April 5th? Or has the deadline passed? Thanks.

It's ok, I've just read the notes for completing form R40 and it states:
"The time limit for making a claim is five years from 31 January following the 5 April end of the tax year. For example, a claim for 2004-05 must be made by 31 January 2011."
So I can make a claim for 2005-06 up until 31 January 2012.0 -
