  • The lenders may consider a "re-type" of the valuation, provided the original person is on their valuer panel, it will be about £50 as they don't need to go to the property again. Worth gettig your broker to ask the question.
  • Tell your broker to make sure that the lenders who say yes or maybe do not use the same surveying company!!!!! You will only get the same report again and would have wasted your money.

    On a more personal note a couple of weeks ago we looking at a lovely new townhouse. But it had these pylins near by and the overhanging power lines passing by the house, not over, but we did not even bother going into the house to have a look. We would never buy it. I dont know if the pylons are dangerous or not, however have no plans either to find out if they can damage my cells, my kids or even grandkids cells.

    I've actually managed to speak to someone at EDF energy and they are going to send someone to take readings and give us a report. They also gave us some useful info. Obviously might be a bit biased, but it could be good to take to the mortgage company.
