    Could you elaborate why, please?

Well, my first point is the line above the one you quoted. It rotates and oscillates slower than 8,800/40,000 respectively. And the battery is absolute pants, so after brushing twice, you get even lower figures on the same charge.

Stick to 1,000 and above, the extra money is worth it.

Hi, I need to replace my electric toothbrush. Having read some of the recent threads have narrowed it down to the following. Is there are others which are worth considering aswell.

Can I just resurrect this thread? I was in morrisons today and bought myself a Braun Oral-B Professional Care 500 (they had them on offer) as I had promised myself an electric one for some time. When I got it home and opened the box I found it only had a shaver plug on it so I can't plug it in (we haven't got a shaver socket at home).
Do all the rechargeable ones have only shaver plugs on them?
I phoned the store and they said bring it back and we will give you a refund as all their oral B range is like that, I asked if they sold adapters so I could plug it in to a 'normal' socket and they don't! Was a bit disappointed, wanted to charge it up!
So are they all like this? Cos we had one years ago that had a normal plug on it and I am sure it was Oral B. And was that particular one I bought any good?

I have a Phillips Sonicare and it just has the shaver plug too. I just got a cheap adaptor plug in a DIY store.

Thanks, wasn't aware that you could get adapters :o but it does annoy me that you have to buy one, not everyone has shaver sockets do they.

Shop around, as you can get them in a lot of places.
