Royal Bank of Scotland Recovery of Pension Overpayment

I know someone who is the victim of a Royal Bank of Scotland Pension Overpayment. It's over £4,000. First of all RBS immediately reduced the payments to the correct amount (if it is correct). Then RBS asked for a cheque for the whole amount of the overpayment. When the victim objected, RBS then asked for 12 instalments of £300 plus to be deducted from the pension payments. This still means the victim will lose about half of their pension income! The victim cannot afford to lose so much income each month. It is very heavy handed of the RBS and so I have been in touch with the Daily Mail about this, as I believe there are many more RBS pensioners who have received similar demands regarding overpayments. Please get in touch with the Daily Mail if you are one of these unfortunates and post on here too. I will report on progress on this and other websites.
